Management Team

William Davis - President

Bill provides Leadership with extensive hands on managerial experience rooted in "Best Practices" and "Guaranteed Delivery". He has earned the "Go-To" label by C Level Executives and Board Members in organizations that are facing tough decisions, tight budgets and deadlines. He specializes in Business & Logistical Intelligence with recent engagements with American Express, IBM and Boeing. He provides advisory services to some of the largest Social Investment Portfolios and passionate consultants in the U.S. He coauthored the Impact Intelligence for High Performing Organizations Roadmap with Sara Olsen, the founder of the Social Ventures Technology Group.

Over his 20 year career, Bill has provided leadership that resulted in financial, technical, operational and most importantly cultural transformation (work ethic, quality of work, timelines & governance) for his clients. Bill has extensive experience providing merger and acquisition due diligence, performance management analysis, customer and product profitability analysis and other business intelligence services. He brings extensive project management & technology application experience to ensure projects adhere to strict disciplines within the relevant life cycles for minimizing risks and guaranteeing success. These accomplishments prepared Bill to lead the build out of the Impact Investing Infrastructure for the GATE Impact Community.

In his spare time he is a "change the world" artist and writes music that address issues of inequality in North America and orphans of war in South America. Bill's passion is driven by being a personal beneficiary of effective ecosystems that are designed to alleviate poverty and promote success in inner city communities.


Joe Latona - Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Latona is responsible for the day to day operations of GATE Impact and the end-to-end development of GATE Impact products. He is an industry leader in the development of electronic trading technology and was recently the head of sales, trading and business development for an electronic trading system focusing on illiquid/alternative assets. Prior to this position, Mr. Latona spent over ten years at Intercapital Securities (a division of ICAP) as Senior Managing Director in charge of all institutional sales and trading. Mr. Latona directly managed the firm's trading desk, sales force and all of the firm's daily operations. Mr. Latona helped build up Intercapital Securities electronic trading platform IAPS to connectivity with over 250 institutions worldwide. IAPS had annual trading volume of over $5 billion in assets and increased market share every year. Mr. Latona holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Monmouth University.


Jeanne Murtaugh - Vice Chairman

Mrs. Murtaugh formerly was a Vice Chairman Emeritus of BNY ConvergEx Group, LLC, a leading firm in agency brokerage and investment technology solutions and Vice Chairman of BNY ConvergEx Execution Solutions. BNY ConvergEx Group was formerly BNY Securities Group, the wholly-owned brokerage subsidiary of the Bank of New York. Mrs. Murtaugh joined The Bank of New York in 1997 through the acquisition of BNY Brokerage where she was a lead principal and served as Vice Chairman and a Director of the Company since 1988. Mrs. Murtaugh began her career at J.P. Morgan, then served in various management positions at Wachovia Bank where she established the Bank's retail brokerage business and global custody services, and subsequently at Morgan Stanley & Co. through its ESI subsidiary.

Mrs. Murtaugh has played a pivotal role in strategies and technologies which address the equity markets, developing one of the first electronic trading and connectivity platforms, as well as creating the models for commission management and independent research for BNY Securities Group, now BNY ConvergEx. She is on the advisory boards of various financial services groups. Mrs. Murtaugh has been a major contributor and sponsor for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, North Carolina Juvenile Diabetes, ALS Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, numerous Catholic charities, and a member of the Women's Initiative of United Way's Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Mrs. Murtaugh earned a B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina and attended the Young Executives Institute at Kenan-Flagler Business School.
