Mr. Molinari is a Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He is the driving force behind the Company, having identified the opportunity to create new market infrastructure to bring efficiency, transparency, and liquidity to the unstructured global alternative asset markets. Mr. Molinari is responsible for the Company’s strategic planning and business initiatives, including corporate alliances and strategic partnerships. His vision is based on a core belief that actionable knowledge and information drive investments, that technology can close the gap between traditional and emerging alternative markets, creating a leadership position and rapidly accelerating GATE’s business models. The company’s initiatives in Impact Investing, India, Brazil, Europe, and Asia reflect this commitment. He is also the founder of Global Access Holdings LLC, a financial media and analytics company, which identified a global trend line of illiquid securities and the potential market need for alternative asset trading platforms. Before Global Access Holdings, Mr. Molinari was the Chairman & CEO of Burlington Capital Markets LLC, a financial services company specializing in institutional execution services and investment banking activities. In addition, he founded Inculab, a technology business incubator. Mr. Molinari began his career at Lehman Brothers Inc., and he has held senior positions at Janney Montgomery Scott Inc., and Ridgewood Capital, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, technology, and capital formation transactions. Mr. Molinari is Chairman of Angel Acquisition Corp. and a board member of Transfer Online Inc. and BigShare Services Pvt., Ltd. He holds a B.B.A. in International Business from the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University.. Mr. Molinari has been featured on CBC Lang and O’Leary Exchange and quoted in wide range of business media including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, and Securities Technology Monitor.
Mrs. Murtaugh formerly was a Vice Chairman Emeritus of BNY ConvergEx Group, LLC, a leading firm in agency brokerage and investment technology solutions and Vice Chairman of BNY ConvergEx Execution Solutions. BNY ConvergEx Group was formerly BNY Securities Group, the wholly-owned brokerage subsidiary of the Bank of New York. Mrs. Murtaugh joined The Bank of New York in 1997 through the acquisition of BNY Brokerage where she was a lead principal and served as Vice Chairman and a Director of the Company since 1988.
Mrs. Murtaugh began her career at J.P. Morgan, then served in various management positions at Wachovia Bank where she established the Bank's retail brokerage business and global custody services, and subsequently at Morgan Stanley & Co. through its ESI subsidiary. Mrs. Murtaugh has played a pivotal role in strategies and technologies which address the equity markets, developing one of the first electronic trading and connectivity platforms, as well as creating the models for commission management and independent research for BNY Securities Group, now BNY ConvergEx. She is on the advisory boards of various financial services groups. Mrs. Murtaugh has been a major contributor and sponsor for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, North Carolina Juvenile Diabetes, ALS Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, numerous Catholic charities, and a member of the Women's Initiative of United Way's Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Mrs. Murtaugh earned a B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina and attended the Young Executives Institute at Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Ms. Livingston is a Founder of the Company, and the founder, president and CEO of Transfer Online Inc. and Transfer Online Technology Development. She is a founder and the technology innovator of the Company, having identified the global trend line of illiquid/alternative asset trading platforms. Ms. Livingston is an entrepreneur who has worked in the financial services industry for over 27 years and is an advisor and sometimes board member to several clients and network of affiliates.
In 1999, she founded Transfer Online, a stock transfer and registrar agency, and was one of the first in the industry to bring transfer agent services and full reporting to the internet. Although originally for individual issuers and their shareholders, the platform she developed evolved when she was approached by MasterCard International to adapt the platform for the purpose of trading their Class B securities held by institutions worldwide. Soon after she was approached by others who sought to expand the scope of the platform to serve their purposes until 2009 when she co-founded the Company with Vincent R. Molinari. She holds a degree from California State University, Northridge where she graduated with honors as the Julian Beck scholar.
